Dragon Palace is located at Longtan Village southwest of Anshun City. In the cave, the scenes are magnificent, grand and various, and look like crystal palace in myth, hence the name dragon palace.
Dragon Palace is typical of Karst landform and reputed as “Lijiang River underground”. With water-eroded caves, grottoes and waterfalls as its main parts, the scenic area is regarded as “a wonder in Guizhou Province”, and consists of four attractions, namely Dragon Palace, Cole Lake, Xuan Pond and Immortal's Mountain Valley with Clumps of Trees and Bamboos.
Dragon Palace comprises five groups of water-eroded caves connected by an underground river and is commonly known as “enter Dragon Palace five times”. Particularly, it has “three bests in China”, namely the longest cave, the highest waterfall and the lowest natural radiation.

The cave are made up of several parts. The first part is the subterranean limestone cave which is the first water limestone cave. The Dragon Palace Limestone Cave is longest in China. It is 15 Kilometers. the scenery committee has developed a second section of the cave, which is 1,260 meters long. The cave contains varies kinds of stalgatites, and can be compared to the northern, but the second cave reveals precise and elaborate. And it also reveals more mysterious unique. The construction of the cave hall looks like a Palace for the mythical Dragon king. “Subterraina Lijiang River, heavenly forest” is the value of limestone scenery, and this value cannot be compared with any other same type scenery in China. The great poet Aiqing said:“It is the great marvelous in nature”, the Chinese spelogist exclaimed: “The world of limestone can be known through a visit to Dragon Palace, taking a boat here is just like taking a boat in heaven”. “Things are famous for it's inherent things, not for it's appearance.” That is why people call Dragon Palace “the paradise of human being”.
The Godess of Mercy Cave (Guanyin Cave), at Dragon Palace covers more than 20,000 aquare meters. The cave is all natural limestone and contains 32 Buddist staues. The statuary of Guanyin are 12.6 meters high. The main cave has a natural stalagmite that looks like the Buddhist idols are shown together in the cave. Tourists very seldom have the opportunity to see the natural and man made side by side!
The largest cave waterfall—Longmen Waterfall is 26 meters wide and more than 50 meters high. The water falls so fast from the top of the mountain that is like 10,000 stampeding horse. The only other place that comes close to it beauty is Huangguoshu, 30 kilometers away.
The spectacular revolving water and still mountains—Xuantang Pond, covers an area of 10,000 square meters. The water in Xuantang Pond flows naturally clockwise in a circle. The flow of the water is like the flow of time, never ending.
